Job description

Industrial Engineer

Company:

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space Weapons and Information Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer, Mid-Career to support the Minuteman III Guidance and Navigation System Repair (GNSR) program. This job location will be in Heath, Ohio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitors performance, supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, and work flows.
  • Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
  • Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
  • Analyzes data and provides summary analyses and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers.
  • Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
  • Lead or support LEAN production activities and workshops.
  • Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This worksite participates in Boeing's optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.

This position requires a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret - Final Post-Start

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5 or more years' related work experience
  • Experience with Depot Level Repair and Maintenance


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor or Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience implementing One Boeing Production System (OneBPS) or similar Lean Production System
  • Experience working under an AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS).
