Job description

Associate Systems Engineer (T-7A)

Company:

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization is seeking a highly motivated Associate Systems Engineer (T-7A) to join the USAF Training Aircraft Organization supporting the T-7A Red Hawk, located in Berkeley, MO.

This position reports to the T-7 SEIT & ILS Manager and is an excellent opportunity to work alongside Boeing engineering and program leadership to learn the product sustainment and service engineering process, support the portfolio, and interface with suppliers and customers. This position provides systems engineering technical support as part of the T-7A Product Support SEIT. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the ILS team and sustainment program management to ensure engineering alignment, support product support objectives, and ensure technical, and safety requirements are met across the T-7A platform.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Systems Engineer responsible for ensuring On Time Delivery and First Time Quality and Safety across the T-7 platform
  • Works with leadership and customers to understand engineering issues and develop solutions with support of Boeing engineering teams
  • Leverages knowledge of engineering principles to facilitate engineering activities across BGS and BDS engineering
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders (BGS/BDS Engineering, Quality, Supplier Management) as well as external stakeholders (Government Customers, Suppliers)
  • Partners with Program Management to manage key program baselines (technical and schedule)
  • Create and conduct briefings for Boeing and Customer program management
  • Serve as member of Engineering Review Boards, Safety Review Boards, and Risk Issue Opportunity (RIO) Boards
  • Supports the development, maintenance, or modification of system component designs through Systems Engineering process discipline
  • Potential for 10% travel

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1 + years' experience as a systems engineer assessing functionality or performance of a complex system
  • 1 + years' experience with developing, delivering, and supporting products and systems as an engineer
  • 1 + years' experience with aerospace products and/or product support
  • 1 + years' experience working as an engineer on a multi-disciplined team with frequent interaction with suppliers and customers
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with engineering of tactical aircraft
  • Understanding of service engineering process
