Consultant Aircrew Training Specialist

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring a Consultant Aircrew Training Specialist to join the Customer Training Engineering team based out of Seattle, Washington.

The Consultant Aircrew Training Specialist will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 777 or 787 Flight Training Development, leading the identification of customer technical training needs and requirements while developing competency-based training and assessment curriculum for Boeing Global Services.

In this role, you will evaluate and determine training objectives, content, design, and technologies. You will prepare briefing and debriefing presentations, lesson plans, and training manuals for type, recurrent, differences, and specialty training for both Boeing internal and external customers.

This position involves researching, developing, delivering, and evaluating the effectiveness of technical training. You will have the opportunity to develop and provide recommendations on training standards and specifications. Additionally, you may travel domestically and internationally to participate in tryouts of draft training curriculum in simulator devices.

While familiarity with FAA and EASA regulations regarding entry into service and training programs is not a requirement, it is highly desirable for candidates to have an understanding of these regulations to enhance the development and implementation of training programs.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at a Boeing facility located near King County International Airport - Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist with developing flight training courseware.

  • Define standard and customer-specific training requirements and develop proposals to satisfy those requirements.

  • Analyze training requirements to provide technical content that supports learning objectives.

  • Review courseware, instructor materials, and supporting documentation for technical accuracy.

  • Analyze training effectiveness to ensure training objectives are met and inform courseware revisions.

  • Review comments and collaborate with the team to reconcile conflicting inputs.

  • Research and evaluate training delivery methods for incorporation into new and existing courseware.

  • Ensure technical accuracy of flight training courseware.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience as a flight crew member (i.e. pilot-in-command, first officer, systems operator, navigator, flight engineer.)

  • Valid Airline transport Pilot license or Foreign equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience developing flight training courseware for part 121 operations, part 135 operations, or foreign equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience working with instructional systems designers to develop flight attendant training material.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or equivalent.

  • Experience developing flight training courseware for 777/787 operations.

  • Pilot with experience flying Boeing airplanes.

  • Experience as an instructor pilot or examiner.

  • Experience developing Evidence Based Training or Competency-Based Training and Assessment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
