Job Description

This role focuses on performing line and hangar maintenance on Boeing Dreamlifter (747-400) aircraft at the Charleston (CHS) airport within a Boeing facility. You will support a busy air cargo operation, carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and receiving basic inspection training as part of your development. The position starts as a contract role with a strong opportunity to transition to a permanent hire after six months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line maintenance on Boeing Dreamlifter (747-400) and other Boeing aircraft models as required, ensuring safe and efficient turnaround of air cargo operations.
  • Carry out overnight hangar maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled inspections, repairs, and component replacements.
  • Conduct basic aircraft inspections under guidance and training, following all applicable maintenance manuals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete all required maintenance records, work cards, and documentation clearly and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and station personnel to support efficient operations at a growing maintenance station.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, facility rules, and quality standards while working in line and hangar environments.
  • Maintain readiness to work various shifts, including day and night schedules, and support a 4-on/3-off rotation.
  • Obtain and maintain a Boeing facility badge and comply with all security and access requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
