Job description

Mcdonald Body Shop is actively seeking out a body shop estimator. This person will be the middle man between the body technicians and the insurance companies and will work with the Body Shop Manager on insurance supplements and customer Handling. Experience is a definite bonus but not a requirement. Must be a quick learner and a team player. Customer satisfaction is our main priority so must have strong communication skills and be comfortable on the phones. Mechanical knowledge is a must. 

Responsibilities

Maintain high customer relation standards. 

Take photos of damage and required insurance photos

Write estimates for repairs adhering to insurance guidelines

Set expectations with customers and also follow up with them in a timely manner

Communicate with technicians and work together to ensure supplement repairs are done properly

Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers and insurance companies

Maintain a clean and well organized work area

Quality check vehicles for paint and repair and also test drive to verify vehicle is functioning properly after repairs. 

Requirements

Valid drivers license with no violations that would prevent our insurance from allowing you to drive off the lot. 

Must maintain a positive attitude with customers and coworkers. 

Show up daily and on time. 

Must be comfortable with computers and able to learn new systems.

CCC estimating experience is a major bonus.  

Able to send and receive emails and also attach documents. 

Dress and look professional for the position.Â
