Job description

S & L Autobody is an independent automotive collision repair shop that strives for high quality service and support for all our customers. We are a direct repair for State Farm and Frankenmuth Insurance but work with all insurance companies as well as customer pay repairs.

Essential Job Duties for Auto Body Repair Technician:

Examines damaged vehicles and plans repair process which includes tear down and inspection.

Responsible for all repairs assigned and listed on the repair order including any additional repairs approved.

Conduct all repairs procedures according to I-Car specifications.

Removes parts necessary on the vehicle to gain access to vehicle body and fenders in order to complete repairs.

Works independently while communicating with others on repair status in order to meet time frames established.

Files, grinds and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.

Assemble vehicles once it is painted and perform quality control to ensure all parts are repaired properly before it goes for cleaning.

Skills and Qualifications for Auto Body Repair Technician:

  • Strong automotive collision diagnosis, problem solving and automotive repair experience.
  • I-CAR welding certified preferred
  • High level of motivation and energy/pride in work attitude.

Requirements for Auto Body Repair Technician:

  • Must assume responsibility for quality of work.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid MI Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certification
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Team player

Salary guarantee of $130,000 annually with verified W2 from previous employer which will demonstrate ability. 45% commission on jobs over annual guarantee
