Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including comprehensive evaluations of mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, gait training, and functional restoration techniques.
  • Guide and assist patients in performing both active and passive exercises, ensuring accurate technique and safety.
  • Educate patients and their families on the rehabilitation process, treatment options, and strategies for enhancing recovery.
  • Document patient progress meticulously and maintain open lines of communication with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with individuals of varying ages and activity levels, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients managing degenerative conditions. Your understanding of each patient’s unique needs will be pivotal in driving their rehabilitation journey forward.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure to practice Physical Therapy in New York.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers as recognized by the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, we welcome recent graduates who are passionate about orthopedic rehabilitation. A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through workshops or seminars is also valued.
