Music Teacher

Job Description:

The individual will provide music instruction to students in special education classes.  The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays.  Strong behavior management and leadership skills, and the ability to modify curriculum to meet students' needs, are required.  The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff.  Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training and de-escalation training are preferred.  Regular attendance and dependability are required.  Other responsibilities may be assigned.  Assignment is subject to change. 

Requirements: New York State Certification - Music

Anticipated Salary: $54,200-$93,000 commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.
