Bobby Jones Golf Course, located in Atlanta, Georgia, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a Starter. The historic Bobby Jones Golf Course became the home of golf in Georgia aftera $32 million rebirth managed by Bobby Jones Links in 2018. It includes a revolutionary reversible golf course designed by Bob Cupp. It is home to the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame, The Georgia State Golf Association, The Georgia PGA Section, the Yates Himalayas Putting Course, Boone's upscale eatery, and instructional programs focused on juniors, beginners, and adaptive golf.
Responsibilities of the Starter at Bobby Jones Golf Course include:
  • Provides information regarding course, play time and other golf-related communications
  • Verifies that all revenues have been properly recorded by inspecting receipts for all players before they depart to course, practice tee, or range
  • Determines rate of course play
  • Keeps assistant Golf Professional informed about rate of course play
  • Always maintains clean and orderly appearance of starter booth
  • Arranges players in proper starting order and assigns appropriate tees
  • Assigns carts
  • Supplies players with score cards, pencils, and rules of play
  • Assists golfers when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
