We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our team at our Neenah, WI facility.

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the marine industry at the OEM manufacturer, distributor, dealer, and retail levels. They will be responsible for developing new sales by identifying potential customers, establishing connections, and cultivating business relationships while introducing products and providing technical support for the ever-growing list of items offered by Custom Marine.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct sales of Custom Marine products to both current and potential customers. Opportunities include boat builders, dealers, and marine distributors along with various other potentials outside of the marine industry.
  • Develop new sales areas by identifying potential customers, establishing connections, and cultivating business relationships.
  • Introduce products and provide technical support for the ever-growing list of items offered by Custom Marine and Livorsi.
  • Participate in product research, design, and development.
  • Serve as a liaison for new customers and projects from design to delivery, by collaborating with internal team and managing timelines to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Research and follow the latest in industry trends, both local and international, and create new opportunities for viable income streams.
  • Travel and participation in industry trade shows required.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Extensive knowledge of the marine industry at the OEM manufacturer, distributor, dealer, and retail levels.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of sales growth while developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required, experience regarding marine engine components and rigging skills a plus.
  • Ability to prospect and create opportunities for revenue growth outside of the marine industry.
  • Minimum three years’ experience managing a sales territory and moderate computer skills.
  • Ensure compliance with laws on safety and environment.
