The Marina Service Associateย is responsible forย providing exceptional customer service to boaters in an attentive,ย friendlyย and efficient manner. The Marina Service Associateย is responsible forย assistingย boaters in a prompt yet safe manner as they arrive andย departย from their slip. You willย assistย with boatย docking andย pumpouts, andย maintain a clean and organized dock area.ย 

ย Maintainsย pleasant,ย friendlyย and professional demeanor with all customers, co-workers, and clientsย 

Safely and accurately operateย pumpoutsย 

Handle cash and electronic transactions for purchases, accurately record sales, andย maintainย financial recordsย 

Acknowledges and greets customers with a professional and friendly demeanorย 

ย Welcomes guests to the locationย 

Remains positioned in designated areas when not completing tasksย and is attentive to the radioย 

Assists arriving boaters by directing them to their designated slip, andย assistingย in docking proceduresย 

Ties lines to secure boat safely to dockย 

Hooks up vessels to electric pedestals and troubleshoots electrical issues/tripped breakersย 

ย Assistsย boaters with directions, reservations, troubleshooting, and other inquiriesย 

-Provides customers with information about marina, internet, and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the areaย 

Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requestedย 

Explains rates for transient guests and accepts paymentย 

Completes all tasksย in a timely mannerย as instructed by the General Managerย 

Treats boaters and associates with courtesy,ย respectย and dignityย 

Follows all appearance standards set by the Marina, allย termsย and conditions asย set forth inย the Handbook, and other policies and proceduresย 

ย Maintainsย clean, neat work environment including all surrounding areas of dock, marina lobby, restrooms, trash receptacles, and outdoor area. Follows site specific safety and security proceduresย 

Reports all accidents and incidentsย observedย on shift to supervisor or General Managerย immediatelyย ย 

Uses only equipment trained to use andย operatesย all equipment in a safe mannerย 

Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to General Managerย ย 

All other duties - perform all other duties as assigned, including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, usingย skillsย and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasksย 


Education, Work Experienceย Requirementsย and/or Competencies:ย 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)ย 

Knowledge of boating or boating terms is desirableย 

Enjoy providing excellent customer serviceย 

Comfortable being outdoors and on your feetย
