Job description

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of trade practices sufficient to complete simple tasks while assisting in boat repairs and related work assignments using common hand tools such as scrapers, scrubbers, pressure washers, sewing machine, power drill, etc. Ability to provide continual care and attention to finishing work assignments involving several tasks or processes requiring application of safety rules, patron usage, etc. Must have a valid driver's license. A minimum of one (I) year experience in sailing and boat maintenance and Scuba Certification is preferred. 

Works under the supervision of the Marina Manager who provides direction on overall work to be accomplished, priorities, and guidance on non-routine assignments. Work is performed under the technical direction of a senior mechanic. 

Requires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Maybe required to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Works both indoors, outdoors, and in water, including exposure to the elements, paint vapors and fumes, scrapes and cuts. Maybe required to handle hazardous material. Required to wear supplied, protective clothing/equipment.
