Lake Country Barge – Pewaukee, WI

Lake Country Barge is looking for an experienced, safety-focused Barge Captain to lead pier and boat lift installation operations on Southeastern Wisconsin lakes. • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
  • Communicate with operations management regarding job progress and site conditions
  • Maintain professionalism with customers on-site
  • Enforce safety protocols and lake regulations at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership and crew-management skills
  • Knowledge of pier systems, boat lifts, and shoreline work (preferred)
  • Ability to read lake conditions, weather, and site constraints
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around heavy equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Safety-first mindset with attention to detail

  • Overtime available during peak install and removal seasons

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly or salary pay based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Stable, repeat work
  • Professional equipment and well-maintained barges
  • Well-established, locally owned company

Why Lake Country Barge

We’re not a fly-by-night operation. We invest in our equipment, our people, and in doing the job right the first time. If you take pride in quality marine work and want to run jobs—not just ride along—this role is for you.
