Job Title: Physical Logistics Continuous Improvement Domestic Intern (Spring 2027)

  • Performs process and quality improvements through data analysis, problem solving, product audit, standards, and optimization with process controls within Logistics.
  • Provides technical problem solving to Physical Logistics teams.
  • Performs root cause analysis of complex quality problems utilizing tools (such as 8D, Six Sigma, Projects, or SPC).
  • Participates in driving continuous quality improvement activities for Plant manufacturing issues.
  • Coordinates cross-functional quality improvement/issue resolution teams to address repetitive issues and quality improvement with a focus on preventative measures.
  • Implements and validates effectiveness of process controls and inspections.
  • Supports key process characteristics while developing and steering implementation of control mechanisms.
  • Steers quality topics in daily Work Organization.
  • Ensures relevant BMW standards & specifications are met to achieve quality product results.
  • Leads investigations from product audits regarding defect landscape & indicator results.
  • Reports status updates of open topics in Technology department meetings.
  • Collaborates and supports quality planning for series production.

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE JANUARY 11th - May 14th, 2027.
