Overview

BT Battle Management Software (BMS) team in Ft. Wayne, IN is seeking a Software Engineer to develop high‑impact aerospace and defense software. The role is 100% onsite and requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate in cross‑disciplined integrated product teams using Agile development practices to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile execution, continuous improvement, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests on the existing baseline.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (unless limited by local law).
  • Experience with C, C++, Python, Ada, or similar languages.
  • U.S. citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in Agile environments such as Scrum, SAFe, or DevSecOps.
  • Strong skills in Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, Red Hat and Linux operating systems, and modular design principles.
  • Background in large system design, code, integration, and testing.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, and holiday pay, depending on location and business unit.
