Job description

Sigma Defense is hiring an AEGIS BMD Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT) SME with operator experience to support the CNSP & ATGPAC teams in San Diego, CA. In this role, the AEGIS BMD JTT SME will assist in conducting technical testing and supporting of military exercises.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Surface Navy experience as a qualified JTT Operator on an AEGIS BMD or equivalent platform.
  • Experience conducting technical testing and support for military exercises, training, or operations.
  • Experience implementing configurations for joining complex operational architectures.
  • Experience with large scale Joint Live Training or Joint Synthetic Training Exercise planning.
  • Experience developing and implementing Tactical Data Links (TDL) plans in support of BMD operations, exercises, and tests.
  • Experience planning and implementing tactical data communication paths including:
    • LOS Link 11(A)
    • LOS Link 16
    • Satellite-J
    • Joint Range Extension Protocol
    • SHF/EHF Multi-TDL-J
    • JTT
    • IBS-S/I
  • Must know how to configure, operate, or maintain the Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT).
  • Must have Instructor, Trainer, or operational experience serving aboard a BMD configured AEGIS ship, or, at a BMD command/agency completing a BMD deployment or certification.
  • Knowledge of current TDL monitoring systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of BMD Tactics, Technical Systems, and Instructions, including COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series requirements and Tactical memorandums.
  • Must know AEGIS Combat Systems to include its components and instructions.
  • Knowledge of BMD Command and Control issues regarding surveillance, engagement, and planning functions required for each of the various numbered fleets.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance will not be sponsored.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually.
