Senior Payroll Specialist
Position Overview
Adecco is hiring for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist in-office in Boise, Idaho. Under general supervision, this role performs the analytical and administrative duties required to prepare, process, and audit payroll for the United States and Canada under a co-sourced payroll model with ADP. The Senior Payroll Specialist ensures compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations while supporting ongoing process improvements.
Location: Boise, Idaho
Pay: $30-35/hr DOE
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Type: Full-Time - Temporary, anticipated 90-day assignment with potential to become hired permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive and professional service to internal and external customers, including timely follow-up on payroll inquiries.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships to support the accurate completion of assigned payroll responsibilities.
  • Complete payroll adjustments, audits, reporting, regulatory filings, and other payroll operational activities.
  • Research payroll questions and recommend solutions to resolve customer concerns.
  • Generate, finalize, and process accurate and timely payroll.
  • Review payroll for errors, discrepancies, and reasonableness before processing.
  • Distribute payroll reports, checks, and deposit advice to the appropriate parties.
  • Partner with the co-sourced payroll provider on payroll runs, audits, garnishment management, and tax services.
  • Follow company policies and applicable payroll laws and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Promote professional communication, teamwork, and trust within the work group.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • At least three years of payroll processing experience within a large and complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information professionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related office software.

  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • ADP Vantage Payroll
  • UKG Timekeeping or a similar timekeeping system
  • BMC Helix or a similar HR/payroll case management tool
