This role helps deliver robust platform management capabilities, supports system bring-up, and contributes to firmware quality, performance, and integration readiness.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and debug BMC firmware features that support system monitoring, control, health reporting, event logging, and remote management functionality.Support platform bring-up and firmware integration across hardware, BIOS, and system software interfaces.Analyze BMC-related defects, reproduce issues, gather debug data, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.Assist with validation of BMC functionality, regression testing, and verification of fixes prior to release.Collaborate with BIOS, Electrical, Systems, Validation, and other engineering teams to address system management and platform issues.Maintain technical documentation, issue tracking updates, and usage information required for project execution and support.Contribute to automation, testability, and continuous improvement of firmware development and debug processes where applicable.Provide clear communication of technical risks, status, and open issues to the project team.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.5-7 years of relevant experience in embedded firmware, BMC development, or related software engineering work.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of C/C++ and embedded development fundamentals.Experience with BMC stacks, system management protocols, or server hardware is required.Familiarity with Linux-based environments and platform management concepts is preferred.Strong analytical and debugging skills with ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interactions.Good written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork across engineering disciplines.BE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
