Job description

Position: Software Developer, Front End
Team: Innovation & Enablement
Location: Remote, in the United States
Work Authorization: US Citizenship Required
About the position:
BlueVoyant Innovation and Enablement are seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer with strong experience in TypeScript, CSS, and proficiency in a popular reactivity framework (Vue, React, Svelte, Angular, Astro) to join our MDR service team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive and dynamic user interfaces. This role requires the ability to work independently, conduct research into emerging technologies, and adapt to changing requirements. The successful candidate will also be skilled in rapidly prototyping solutions.
About the team:
We are a forward-thinking innovation R&D team dedicated to exploring and developing cutting-edge technologies. Our mission is to drive innovation and create impactful solutions that address real-world challenges for BlueVoyant’s MDR services including integration with wider reach within BlueVoyant. We are currently undergoing a large restructure of existing capabilities to build a platform that allows for rapid innovation, development and global capabilities deployed to local regions.
About You:
You are a self-starter who is passionate about crafting intuitive, useful and performant user experiences. You often wonder what the next emerging UI patterns will look like; unwilling to accept a future where generative AI is reduced to a textbox and chat messages. You embrace new tools, concepts, and have an appreciation for all frameworks with little bias (other than personal familiarity). You understand and can identify technical debt: as a business strategy vs a potential bad design choice that scales with the codebase.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications and browser extensions using Vue + TypeScript for our MDR services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Conduct research into upcoming technologies and integrate them into projects.
  • Rapidly prototype solutions to validate concepts and ideas.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Implement a/b test experiments and application use metrics for continuous application improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in front-end development using Vue with TypeScript.
  • Proven experience developing Azure hosted applications is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Pinia, Redux, MobX).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong research skills and a passion for learning new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other front-end frameworks and libraries such as Tailwind CSS, WXT and VITE
  • Knowledge of back-end integration of RESTful APIs and Websockets.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles.
  • Prior experience with AI tooling, RAG, Agentic Systems, Azure AI Studio.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
