About the Position:

The Workforce & Continuing Education Division is seeking several qualified Industrial Mathematics & Blueprint Reading Instructors to deliver training at a large local manufacturing facility. These positions are responsible for providing high-quality instruction in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Blueprint Reading with AutoCAD to incumbent workers and apprenticeship participants.

The ideal candidates combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to engage learners in a practical, industry-focused environment. Instruction will emphasize real-world manufacturing applications and support workforce development initiatives that strengthen employee skills and career advancement opportunities.

We are looking for candidates that can deliver instructor-led training in any or several of the following areas:

    • Algebra for industrial and manufacturing applications
    • Trigonometry for technical and manufacturing environments
    • Blueprint Reading and interpretation
    • AutoCAD fundamentals and applications

Otherย Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate classroom instruction and hands-on learning activities.
  • Connect mathematical and technical concepts to real-world manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate student learning through assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and training records.
  • Foster a positive, engaging learning environment that supports adult learners.
  • Collaborate with workforce development staff and employer representatives to ensure training objectives are achieved.
  • Utilize provided curriculum materials and instructional resources.
  • Support continuous improvement of training programs through feedback and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, Drafting, CAD, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of any combination of Algebra, Trigonometry, Blueprint Reading, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with adult learners in a workforce training environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience and/or industrial experience related to manufacturing, technical training, drafting, engineering technology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching technical or workforce development courses.
  • Manufacturing or industrial industry experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD in an industrial, engineering, or construction setting.
  • Previous experience working with apprenticeship or customized training programs.
