Job Type: Part Time | Days
Schedule: 4 shifts in a 6-week period

Centerpoint Health - Paris, formerly Bourbon Community Hospital, is a 58-bed acute care facility in the heart of the Bluegrass. The medical staff consists of 140 physicians covering 22 specialties. Centerpoint Health - Paris also offers services in Behavioral Health consisting of a 33-bed inpatient facility. Our multi-disciplinary approach enlists the services of a dedicated team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, therapists, nurses, social workers, mental health technicians, recreation therapists, and Kentucky certified teachers. Our Behavioral Health department also utilizes certified therapy dogs in the healing process when applicable.

The 4-bed ICU at Centerpoint - Paris provides focused, high-acuity care in an intimate setting that allows for close monitoring and rapid response to patient needs. Its multidisciplinary team delivers advanced critical-care services with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and family support.
How you'll contribute:
AnICU(RN) who excels in this role:
  • Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs
  • Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
  • Develops individual nursing care plans
  • Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
  • Evaluates patient care outcomes
  • Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
  • Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
  • Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
  • Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
  • Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire.
