As a Teller II Floater, you will play a critical role in supporting multiple branch locations by performing teller transactions, consumer account maintenance, and operational functions while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong banking knowledge, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with customers and team members across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Travel to assigned branch locations based on business needs
  • Perform Teller I duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and other routine transactions
  • Balance and reconcile cash daily to ensure transaction accuracy
  • Verify customer identity and follow fraud prevention and security procedures
  • Perform maintenance on consumer accounts
  • Process debit card functions through Payments One
  • Assist customers with stop payment requests
  • Process and assist customers with wire transfers
  • Verify and process changes to existing accounts
  • Answer customer questions and resolve account-related issues
  • Serve as backup vault custodian
  • Perform teller overrides and exception approvals as delegated by management
  • Support Market Managers and Head Tellers with Retail Banking audits
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Teller I employees
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to fraud, scams, phishing attempts, and other suspicious activity
  • Order checks and debit cards for customers
  • Maintain retail logs and required system documentation
  • Assist customers with digital banking products and services
  • Support scanning, indexing, and document upload processes
  • Utilize SharePoint and other resources to follow policies and procedures
  • Determine when transaction holds are required and apply them according to policy
  • Greet customers in person and at the drive-thru with professionalism and courtesy
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service
  • Identify customer needs and refer opportunities to the appropriate banking partner
  • Collaborate with employees across departments and branch locations
  • Contribute to team goals by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
  • Stay current on banking regulations, security procedures, and compliance requirements

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year of banking experience, including cash handling and customer service
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, acceptable motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a positive, contributing team member
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of banking experience
  • Experience with consumer account maintenance and operational banking functions
