What is a blue collar trade?

Blue collar trades refer to jobs that typically involve manual labor or skilled work in industries such as construction, manufacturing, plumbing, electrical work, and automotive repair. These jobs often require specialized training or apprenticeships rather than a traditional college degree. Blue collar workers play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and repairing the infrastructure and products we use every day. Many blue collar trades offer competitive wages, opportunities for advancement, and job stability. The demand for skilled tradespeople remains high in many regions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a blue collar trade?

Familiarity with industry-specific tools, machinery, and safety certifications like OSHA are typically required. Reliability, problem-solving abilities, and strong teamwork are key soft skills that help individuals excel in these environments.
