Job description

  • PART I - General Job / Performance Information
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of graduation from high school or equivalent. Nurses aide training and certification preferred. May substitute EMT training.
  • Environmental / Working Conditions
    • Works inside. Hours of duty may be irregular covering various shifts. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is of high risk.
  • Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
    • This position requires close interaction with ancillary departments in order to maintain a current inventory of all equipment in SICU/BICU.
  • Job Description
    • The equipment technician is responsible for insuring properly functioning equipment in the critical care environment. This includes stocking patient rooms with designated items. May assist in other tasks as directed by nurse manager or charge nurse.
