Position: Blood Bank Technologist - Evening Shift- 2p-10:30p (Saturday and Sunday), one summer/one winter holiday. Training period is 8 weeks. Must pass competency testing.
Experience:
1. Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
2. Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual include specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
3. Ability to distinguish color differences
4. Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
5. Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Graduation from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates Degree or equivalent education may be acceptable provided it meets the grandfather clause set forth by CLIA .
Licensures/Certifications: .
MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
