Medical Director and Assistant Medical Director – Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine (Central Region)

Northwell Health seeks accomplished, board certified MD or DO physicians for the pivotal roles of Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director of Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine within its Central region. This opportunity allows dynamic leaders to contribute to clinical excellence and robust departmental oversight within a leading Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank service.

Required Qualifications
  • American Board of Pathology (ABP) certification/eligibility in Clinical Pathology.
  • Accredited fellowship training in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine with ABP certification/eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
  • A valid, unrestricted New York State Medical License.
  • A Certificate of Qualification in Transfusion Services (details available at https://www.wadsworth.org/regulatory/clep/certificate-requirements).
Ideal Candidate

The ideal Medical Director candidate will possess robust experience specifically in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, complemented by demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong teamwork abilities.
