Job Summary:

You will support new client engagement and retention through strategic multi-channel initiatives, including communications, digital and media, tradeshows and events and industry associations/memberships.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and position our firm as a leader in the construction industry. You will collaborate closely with cross functional departments to create compelling marketing campaigns, manage our online presence, work the operations team to provide project collateral support, and craft content that showcases our expertise in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.


This role requires hands on technical skills and ability to engage other team members to support marketing efforts.

You will spearhead marketing initiatives for project pursuits, utilizing your strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and specialized creativity, all while upholding a commitment to effective brand management. Your efforts will align with the strategy, vision, and values of Reeder General Contractors.



Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Market Analysis

  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, unique project information, opportunities, and competitor activities, especially in the company's market sectors.
  • Market Segmentation: Identify target audiences, including existing clients, new clients, new market audiences, and community stakeholders.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to design marketing plans and strategies that align with the firms Strategic Planning objectives.


Brand Management & Positioning

    • Brand Identity: Maintain and enhance the firms brand image to ensure a consistent and appropriate messaging, aesthetic, tone and voice message across all marketing mediums both internally and externally.
    • Value Proposition Development: Clearly communicate the firms unique value in our construction sectors, including expertise, reliability, safety standards, and project management capabilities.
    • Client Testimonials & Case Studies: Develop and promote case studies of successful projects to showcase the firm's expertise.
    • Project Site Experience: Develop and manage a consistent project site aesthetic for signage, fencing, staging, housekeeping and project offices to create a consistent project site experience for all stakeholders.

    Business Development Support

    • Lead Generation: Implement marketing campaigns to generate leads, especially focusing on our existing market sectors.
    • Client Relationship Management: Work closely with the business development team to nurture relationships with potential clients, architects, and other stakeholders in our market by displaying courtesy, professionalism and promptly responding to client needs.
    • RFP Management: Support the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by gathering relevant information, crafting narratives, developing compelling graphic designs, and ensuring proposals align with client needs.
    • Team Management: Work closely with Human Resources department to support new hire initiatives such as headshots, swag box, signage review, email signature, and business cards.

    Content Development & Digital Marketing

    • Content Strategy: Develop content that highlights the firm's experience in school construction, such as blog posts, articles, white papers, and newsletters.
    • Website Management: Ensure the website is updated with relevant content, including recent projects, client testimonials, and company news.
    • Social Media Management: Manage the firms presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and industry-specific forums, focusing on engagement with educational leaders and community influencers.
    • Company Communication Management: Develop and manage the company's internal communications, REEDERs Digest, via. constant contact for all internal notices including employee announcements (new hire, anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, etc.), company team building events, strategic initiatives, holidays, and national-day announcements.
    • SEO & SEM: Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve the firms visibility on Google searches related to school construction.
    • Photography: Performs photography at company events and on projects regularly including drone piloting/ monthly aerials. Schedules and maintaining professional photography on all projects for portfolio management.

    Advertising & Public Relations

    • Advertising Campaigns: Develop targeted advertising campaigns, especially in local publications and industry magazines that reach existing and potential clients.
    • Media Relations: Build relationships with local media, trade publications, educational associations, and clients media departments to gain press coverage.
    • Community Outreach: Promote the firms involvement in community activities, such as educational initiatives, school events, or partnerships with local nonprofits.


    Event Planning & Management

    • Industry Conferences & Trade Shows: Plan and execute participation in industry conferences, trade shows, and educational symposiums to generate new business opportunities.
    • Client/ Project Events: Organize events such as groundbreaking ceremonies, beam signings, trade appreciation lunches, MWBE/ HUB outreach initiatives, open houses, project site visits, school board project presentations, and informational sessions for project teams & clients.
    • Company Events: Assist in planning and organizing company events including holiday parties, company meetings, and team building events.

    Collateral Development Support of Sales & Projects

    • Marketing Collateral: Produce and maintain regional marketing collateral, including developing/assembling specific marketing collateral packets, ads, drip e-campaigns, direct mail pieces and brochures for sales teams.


    • Project & Team Portfolios: Develop detailed portfolios of past projects, highlighting key accomplishments, budget management, timelines, and client satisfaction. Maintenance of project and team resumes for portfolio.
    • Proposal Assistance: Assist in editing and creating tailored proposals & provide presentation support, including graphic design and hand out materials, that emphasize the firm's strengths.
    • Apparel & other Marketing Collateral: Design and order all company apparel and other promotional items for trade show and sales events. Track and manage inventory of marketing collateral and production supplies.


    • Project Collateral: Design procure all project job site signage. Assist project teams with creating compelling project site logistics plans. Assisting in filming and editing of trainings for close out documents as needed.


    Data / Analytics:

    • Marketing Analytics: Track the performance of marketing campaigns, website traffic, social media engagement, and lead conversion rates.
    • Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management, highlighting the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and suggesting improvements.
    • Budget Management: Monitor the marketing budget to ensure campaigns are cost-effective and within the allocated budgets

    Client & Stakeholder Communication

      • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop communication strategies that resonate with clients, facility managers, and other key stakeholders in our sector.
      • Crisis Communication: Handle any communication needs related to project delays, community concerns, or other sensitive issues that may arise.
      • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from clients to improve services and adapt marketing messages based on client satisfaction and project outcomes.


      Business Development & Proposal Support

      • Pursuit & Proposal Management: Lead and coordinate proposal efforts for RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitations, including scheduling, compliance tracking, content development, internal reviews, and final production.
      • Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and tailor compelling proposal narratives, executive summaries, project approaches, schedules, safety plans, and team qualifications that align with client goals and evaluation criteria.
      • Win Strategy Development: Collaborate with business development and operations teams to develop pursuit strategies, key messages, differentiators, and themes for each proposal.
      • Content Coordination: Gather technical information from project managers, estimators, and executives and translate it into clear, client-focused messaging.
      • Graphic & Layout Development: Partner with internal teams or vendors to develop proposal layouts, graphics, charts, and visuals that enhance readability and impact.
      • Client Relationship Support: Support relationship-building efforts with clients, architects, and consultants through professional communication and responsiveness.
      • Team Management Support: Work with Human Resources to support new hire onboarding initiatives, including headshots, welcome kits, signage, email signatures, and business cards.



      Qualifications:

      • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
      • 4-6 years of relevant experience in the marketing and/or AEC industry

      Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Requirements:

      • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom), Word, PowerPoint and Excel
      • Photography/Drone Certified - not required
