Support the Directorate by evaluating and certifying the implementation, integration, and embedment of cryptography and cryptographic-related cyber security solutions into customer-owned or controlled Space systems, through robust cryptographic security engineering and information systems security engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: * Technology: Investigating and applying evolutionary and revolutionary technologies for the advancement of network architecture, development of security and management enablers, and establishment of an associated test environment.
* Certifications: Coordinating cryptographic certification activities with the designated space responsible office, ensuring solutions that obtain timely certification.
* Systems: Reviewing Systems Key Management Plans (SKMP) and Key Generation Management Plans and Procedures (KGMPP).
* Products: Evaluating / maximizing use of Commercial Off-The Shelf crypto-enabled products.
* Leadership: Supporting senior leadership in technical discussions and evaluations.
* Customer Support: Providing liaison support and promoting communication between the customer and external program offices and agencies in the form of meetings and conferences.
* Opportunity: Developing and supporting briefing opportunities of interest for technology sponsors/mission partners.
* Problem Solving: Resolving programmatic and technical equipment issues involving customer programs, the IC community, and the military services.
* Risk Assessment: Providing cryptographic risk assessment support for satellite programs to the designated approving official and/or Chief lnformation Security Officer.
* Systems: Providing cyber security advice and assistance for Space and Terrestrial acquisition, and for operational components' plans for the design, development, manufacture, acquisition, lease, launch, life-cycle support or operation of any DoD Space system.
* Solutions: Requirements development for current and future high assurance cryptographic solutions
* Documentation: Facilitate the staffing of crypto design documentation
* Schedules: Track the work of other contracts related to requirements, issues, and schedules
* Program: Deliver programmatic expertise as required
* Risk: Deliver cryptographic risk assessment support to programs
* Support: Deliver implementation and integration support for key management systems
* Strategy: Advise customer on crypto acquisition strategies Work Environment: * Location: On-site
* Travel Requirements: Minimal
* Working Hours: Standard Required Qualifications: * Clearance: Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph
