Job description

Lead Blockchain Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Blockchain Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in multi-chain environments, ensuring smooth and efficient integrations & operations across Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Smart contract execution environments, experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), deep understanding of different blockchains, protocol specific integration challenges and smart contract troubleshooting and auditing. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security and compliance, to maintain robust and secure blockchain networks.

Key Responsibilities

● Collaborate with development teams to design and extend Analog cross chain Smart contracts infrastructure i.e. Analog GMP.

● Ensure seamless integration and deployment of blockchain updates and fixes, as well as troubleshooting network and node issues.

● Provide technical support for multi-chain environments, including Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain solutions.

● Collaborate with development team to maintain and extend blockchain networks support for Analog

● Ensure security protocols and best practices are implemented and adhered to, especially around key management, multisig wallets, and private/public key cryptography.

● Proactively identify and resolve blockchain performance or security issues, including managing forks, hard forks, and upgrades.

● Engage with the community and relevant stakeholders to stay current on blockchain trends, new tools, and security issues.

Qualifications

● Strong development experience with Smart contract execution environments (EVMs, WASM, SVM, CKB-VM).

● Strong experience in multi-chain environments and Layer 1/Layer 2 blockchain solutions (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon classic, Polygon zkevm, Solana, Polkadot).

● Experienced using blockchain testing frameworks, i.e. Foundry, Hardhat etc

● Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

● Expertise in smart contract troubleshooting, auditing, and issue resolution, including gas optimization and debugging.

● Knowledge of blockchain security best practices, including key management and encryption.

● Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment with minimal supervision.

● Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and performance.

● Experience with incident management and technical support, particularly in resolving blockchain-related issues.

● Good understanding of Cryptography: Bitcoin’s light-clients, secp256k1, elliptic curve cryptography, etc.

● Hands On development experience with Polkadot ecosystem (Rust, Substrate)

Bonus Qualifications

● Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, including node setup, maintenance, and scaling.

● Knowledge of consensus mechanisms, distributed ledger technologies, and blockchain interoperability.

● Familiarity with hardware wallets, multisig wallets, and custody solutions for crypto assets.

● Prior experience working in a Web3 startup or decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
