What is the Blessed Sacrament?

The Blessed Sacrament refers to the consecrated bread and wine in the Catholic tradition, which are believed to become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during the Mass. Catholics believe that Jesus is truly present—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Blessed Sacrament, a central element of their faith. The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the tabernacle and is also used during Eucharistic adoration, where the faithful pray in the presence of Christ. This practice emphasizes reverence, worship, and the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
