Job description

Description:

General Laborer will be fulfilling duties that will aid in the completion of many aspects of work, ranging from Manufacturing, Warehousing, Hydro Testing, Sand Blast/Paint, to RigOut/Assembly. This role is diverse and requires a person willing to be flexible and learn varying expectations. Communication and teamwork is key to the success of this team member. This role will operate forklifts in a manner to load/unload truck, and deal with internal and external customers daily must be able to behave in a manner that provides a high level of professionalism and safety.


Expected Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  • Reads blueprints, schematics, similar documentation, or can operate from spoken/written instruction then builds to those specifications
  • Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
  • Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
  • Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Manually assembles piping, minor electrical, prepares the project for various stages and in conjunction with leads and supervisors.
  • Organize and maintain simple communication to meet expectations set forth by leads and supervisor.
  • May be trained to act as forklift operator when normal operator is out.
  • Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure to 1/16"
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.,
  • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions from verbal queues or physical written/drawn instruction.
  • Ability to work in a variety of roles.
  • Be able to utilize various hand tools from Pipe wrenches to Paint brushes.
  • Ability to learn OTJ, as well as document tasks completed.
  • Other tools as required by the job (if assistance or accommodation required it will be reviewed appropriately)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at any time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to team lift up to 200 pounds occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
