What are Blasting Assistants?

Blasting Assistants are workers who support blasting operations in industries like mining, construction, and demolition. They help prepare blasting sites, load explosives, set up safety barriers, and ensure that all procedures comply with safety regulations. Their role is essential for maintaining safety and efficiency during controlled explosions. Blasting Assistants also assist in cleaning and securing the site after a blast, working closely under the supervision of a certified blaster. They must be attentive to detail and follow strict safety protocols.

To thrive as a Blasting Assistant, you need a basic understanding of explosives handling, safety protocols, and often a high school diploma or equivalent.
