Join BJC HealthCare as a PRN Float Student Nurse Tech (SNT) and be part of a team committed to delivering extraordinary care across our East Region hospitals. This unique, system-wide float role offers the opportunity to support patients in a variety of acute care settings while building clinical confidence and skills alongside experienced caregivers. At BJC, we are dedicated to helping you learn, grow, and make a meaningful difference—every shift, every patient, every time.
 
Role Highlights
  • PRN, self-scheduled role (minimum 24 hours every 6 weeks)
  • Includes 12 weekend hours and holiday rotation
  • Flexible scheduling through BJC Flex

Key Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program

  • Willingness to travel to all East Region locations (including Illinois)

  • Must submit end-of-term grades and upcoming school schedule to remain active
  • Initial 3-week full-time training commitment to support your success

  • Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
  • Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team.
  • Collects clinical data and information on patients and reports abnormal findings to the nurse.
  • Instructs patients in preparations for tests and procedures.
