Job description

Position Overview 

Information Technology Department has an immediate opening for an EDI Software Developer on the EDI development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for BizTalk administration and BizTalk Application development.

Scope of Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and administer the company's BizTalk EDI environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain BizTalk applications and EDI maps.
• Responsible for testing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting HIPAA EDI (837,835, 834, 270, 271, 276, 277, 278, 274…) transactions and applications.
• Implement Companion Guides and Trading Partner Agreements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BizTalk and EDI.
• Support day-to-day operations of EDI, including identifying any technical problems with sending/receiving transactions.
• Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand and implement business requirements.
• Interface with providers, vendors, and internal departments to address technical issues related to EDI.
• Develop complex DLL and API modules to support EDI process and communication with external applications.
• Ensure data integrity and security in EDI transactions.
• Review electronic data received from providers/vendors to ensure presence and accuracy of critical data elements.
• Ongoing review of system setup and processes to ensure accurate and optimum setup for data selection.
• Document and maintain system procedures and protocols.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Develop and implement EDI standards and protocols.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure infrastructure supports EDI operations.
• Provide training and support to end-users for EDI operations.
• Participate in the integration testing phase of software and applications under development to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
• Assist in the development of project timelines and manage them effectively.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Education, Training & Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required;
• 5 + years' experience in BizTalk, including implementing and supporting BizTalk environments, building, and deploying BizTalk solutions, and performing performance tuning and disaster recovery; or a satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Solid experience in administration and operations of large-scale, real-time, 24x7 BizTalk 2020, 2016 environments, including but not limited to:
 Highly available clustered BizTalk environments with SQL Server Always On
 BizTalk Hosts, Isolated Hosts, Orchestrations, Dynamic Ports
 BizTalk Adapters: WCF, SQL Server, Oracle, SFTP, SMTP, etc.
 BizTalk Rule Engine
 BizTalk EDI and Trading Partner Management
 BizTalk BAM and BAM Portal
 BizTalk ESB and ESB Portal
 BizTalk Throttling
 BizTalk deployment and release management technologies
• BizTalk monitoring technologies
• HIPPA EDI ANSI X.12, HL7 experience is required
• Proficiency in C#, VB.net, Visual Studio 2017-2022; API development and knowledge of PYTHON. Development with AI.
• Experience with SQL Server is required;
• Strong skills and experience with SSIS;
• Experience with XML, JSON -based technologies;
• Experience in programming include coding, testing and deployment;
• Knowledge of software development and lifecycle;
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as DevOps and GitHub
• Salesforce and MuleSoft Experience is a plus
