Job description

We are seeking a Payroll Clerk, to be located at our offices in Napa, to support our growing organization and ensure smooth, accurate payroll processing for our dedicated employees.

Your Role

As a Payroll Clerk, you will provide support to the payroll team to ensure all aspects of the weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles are completed accurately and within compliance.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supports the overall process of the weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles with defined responsibilities for data management, processing, and auditing.
  • Works closely with Human Resources in reviewing the information entered in the HRIS system by the Human Resources Representative. 
  • Reviews all time records to ensure they accurately reflect time worked.  
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all payroll tax filings and other required payroll forms; Ensure the accuracy in all employee deductions with proper supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review payroll-related reports as directed; ensures the accuracy of the information. 
  • Prepare manual checks for departing employees or errors.  
  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Experience in payroll processing, ideally in hospitality or a fast-paced, multi-location environment
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS platforms, preferably ADP TotalSource
  • A strong grasp of federal and state payroll laws and compliance standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with discretion
