What is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Software Developer, Workday Integrations & Extend, you will lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Workday solutions to meet complex HCM program requirements across RBC. This role demands deep expertise / Hands on experience with Workday, coupled with advanced problem-solving skills to execute high-impact projects. You will collaborate closely with technical, functional, and vendor teams to ensure seamless integration and innovation within RBC's HR ecosystem. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging AI technologies to optimize Workday processes, driving efficiency and transformative solutions.

What will you do?

  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical integration designs aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Serve as Technical Contact for Workday integrations / Extend requirements throughout the full lifecycle (Design, build, test, deploy, and support).
  • Design and build end-to-end Workday integration & Extend solution's, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Partner with HR Workday Functional Leads, enterprise architects, security teams, and third-party vendors to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Establish and contribute to integration standards, patterns, documentation, and governance models.
  • Support solution design across multiple Workday modules and external systems (SAP, ServiceNow etc.).
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and system maintenance for Workday environments.
  • Collaborate on innovation projects to future-proof HR systems and improve user experiences.
  • Contribute to AI-driven initiatives by integrating cutting-edge technologies to automate and enhance HR processes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Workday Implementation & Support Experience.
  • 3-8 years Experience with Workday.
  • Hands on Technical Development experience.
  • Strong experience designing and develop Workday integration & extend solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise across Workday integration & extend technologies like App development, EIB, Core & Cloud Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Workday Studio, BIRT, custom reports, and calculated fields.
  • Solid technical background in REST & SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, WSDL, WQL, Orchestrations, Web Services, Java, and/or .NET.
  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient integration / extend solutions.
  • Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, ShapeIn, Azure Integration Services) is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop integrations / extend application to support project requirements.
