What You'll Do:
The Maximo Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, optimization, and continuous improvement of Northland Power's IBM Maximo platform across our operations in North America and Europe. This role serves as the primary technical owner of Maximo, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, user adoption, and alignment with business processes across the organization.
The role is required to work 4 days per week in the office with one flexible day to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for IBM Maximo across North American and European operations.
  • Manage system configuration, security, workflows, escalations, notifications, and application settings.
  • Support Maximo upgrades, patches, integrations, and ongoing platform enhancements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Administer user access, roles, permissions, and compliance-related controls.
  • Support integrations between Maximo and ERP, GIS, SCADA, procurement, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Provide user training and support to operations, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
  • Ensure data quality and governance standards are maintained across the platform.
  • Support reporting, KPI development, and analytics requirements.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to standardize processes while accommodating local operational requirements.

  • 5+ years of IBM Maximo administration experience.
  • Experience with Maximo security groups, workflows, escalations, automation scripts, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy, utilities, power generation, or infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with API integrations, middleware platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Project management or system implementation experience.
  • Experience working with international teams across North America and Europe.
