Job description

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Weekend (MST) Manufacturing Service Technician (Weekend Night Shift) to support our lab. This position is located at our Rio, WI production facility.

The Manufacturing Service Technician has primary accountability for maintaining and ensuring that equipment is in proper working order. This role supports Production operations by maintaining production instrumentation and parts, managing supplies, maintaining logs, troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, and assisting with special projects. We will consider the right candidate for either the weekend days.

  • 3day schedule: Friโ€“Satโ€“Sun (12hour shifts, 36 hours total)
  • Hours 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM, eligible for a $5.50/hr shift differential

Starting pay is $23.50/hr, plus the applicable weekend shift differential and merit.
The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to: the role, responsibilities, a candidateโ€™s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.


  • Provides troubleshooting and repairs of equipment in-house 
  • Performs PMs on lab equipment and instrumentation
  • Cleans microfluidic components
  • Maintain inventory and record keeping
  • Assist Technical Support management in ongoing CAPA/RCA projects as needed

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Education:   HSE
  • One year of lab or similar technical experience
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in science-related field. 
  • Experience in microfluidics, flow cytometry or laser optics a plus.
