Job description

Associate Director, Field Access ManagementKey Responsibilities
  • Train, educate, coach, and lead a team of Field Access Managers (FAMs).
  • Execute field access strategy and oversee Field Access Management team success.
  • Understand regional payor and Medicaid coverage; provide market access education via approved materials.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Hub, specialty pharmacy, FAMs, and interactions with field sales to support appropriate access to therapy.
  • Provide proactive field-based access education by identifying access issues, educating stakeholders, and sharing successes.
  • Educate FAMs on patient enrollment, payer coverage policies, prior authorization, appeals, patient support programs, and Hub operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings (sales, market access, marketing) to align on access landscape, issues, and field strategy.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree; 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech.
  • 3+ years in patient support, healthcare sales/operations, project management, or reimbursement support.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and access processes (benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals).
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Competent understanding of hub and patient support activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment with 30โ€“35% travel; must reside in assigned territory/metro area.
