Job description

General Description:
The Associate Director, Global Market Research will actively influence commercialization strategies that support market planning efforts across BeOne's oncology portfolio. This role will have specific responsibility for supporting the Global Hematology Oncology portfolio. S/he will aid in designing, executing, and managing market research projects. This person will collaborate with cross-functional partners within and outside of the Commercial organization to identify critical business objectives and will develop and implement market research plans to address these key strategic issues. This person must be able to translate market research into actionable insights, engage diverse audiences, and possess strong analytical skills.
Essential Functions of the job:
  • Participate in development and implementation of primary market research plans for BeOne's marketed and/or pipeline molecules.
  • Identify and frame key business issues needing further research and align relevant team members on the objectives, research approaches, and recommendations.
  • Identify appropriate external partners while considering resources, timing, and overall project goals.
  • Be accountable for conducting primary market research activities in a compliant manner.
  • Analyze national-level audit data for market sizing and analog assessment.
  • Actively integrate primary market research findings with other analytical insights (custom secondary research, forecasting) developed by team members within the Commercial and Marketing Analytics groups.
  • Create and implement comprehensive communication plans to optimize the organizational impact of competitive and market insights on product strategies and plans.
  • Ensure key multi-stakeholder insights and recommendations are quickly and appropriately shared with cross-functional partners, including colleagues in Corporate functions and ex-US affiliates.
  • Apply basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact.
  • Demonstrate leadership courage vis-à-vis setting boundaries and ensuring time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects.
  • Stay abreast of emerging healthcare and pharmaceutical industry trends, particularly within oncology, and assess their potential impact on our strategies.
  • Act with speed, agility, and accountability, while adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Cultivate meaningful internal and external partnerships, adding value and insights for the organization.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor or advanced degree (e.g. Master's/MBA or Ph.D.), with concentration in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or advanced degree (e.g. Master's/MBA or Ph.D.), with concentration in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business with 8+ years of overall experience.
  • 6+ years progressive experience in consulting, market research, strategic analysis and planning.
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace experience required.
  • Oncology launch and/or pre-launch experience preferred.
  • Global and/or international experience preferred.
  • Hands on, in-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Forecast model literacy and experience with secondary data analysis is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management, including effectively managing multiple projects/priorities concurrently.
  • Experience managing vendors and consultants strongly preferred.
  • Ability to adapt plans and strategies as new market findings arise.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize findings and deliver a clear overview of recommendations.

Salary Range: $145,500.00 - $195,500.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
