Job description

Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) - Upstate NY Ecosystem

Utilizing innovative methods to identify patients who may benefit from treatment, we must take a highly strategic approach to patient access while assisting patients and their caregivers to navigate the healthcare system.

The Opportunity:

As a Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) you will play a critical role in optimizing access to Genentech products by addressing reimbursement barriers. You will work with key decision makers, develop reimbursement strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure drug accessibility. As an FRM you will represent a range of products and handles complex access cases.

  • You will Develop a reimbursement framework to train case managers and TAMs, addressing non-patient identifiable issues
  • You will Utilize deep understanding of the ecosystem and reimbursement landscape to achieve patient access goals and enhance customer and patient experience
  • You will serve as a liaison between Field and Home Office functions, staying updated on payer policies impacting patient access
  • You will exhibit advanced knowledge of portfolio products, access and reimbursement programs, and collaborates on cross-functional strategies to address reimbursement challenges

This is a field based position that will cover accounts in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany. It is preferred that candidates live in the area for consideration.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or other related graduate degree preferred
  • 8 or more years cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry
  • A minimum of 5 or more years' direct experience with managed care and reimbursement is required, either directly within/from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or relevant, large-scale practice management
  • Must demonstrate excellent working knowledge of reimbursement and practice management environment, with a proven ability to apply this knowledge to effectively address and resolve patient access barriers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with both private & public payers is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in other functions in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred, e.g. product marketing, managed care marketing, field sales/sales management, field account management, etc.
  • Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives
  • Previous experience in completing & implementing attainable business plans
  • Understanding of external laws, codes and company policies that apply to the healthcare industry.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, policies and procedures that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position

This is a field-based position. Overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving a Company vehicle or driving any vehicle on Company business

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New York is $153,800.00 - $285,600.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
