Responsibilities
  • Subject Matter Expert and Lead for: FSP, FDP and HACCP
  • Risk Analysis, Management and Mitigation
  • Root Cause Analysis and addressing deviations and non-conformances
  • Internal and external audit lead for the Madison site
  • Working knowledge and experience with FSSC 22000 or other GFSI-recognized scheme (e.g., SQF, BRC) and FSMA Preventive Controls, GMPs
  • Primary liaison between operational and quality teams ensuring cGMP compliance, appropriate hygienic design, sanitation effectiveness, allergen control, environmental monitoring
  • Serves as mentor for less senior QA specialists
Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent in food science, microbiology, dairy science, biotechnology, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in regulated environments in the food industry such as dairy and dietary supplements.
  • Previously responsible for authoring and maintaining FSP, FDP, HACCP, Risk Management
  • Expert understanding of the principles of food microbiology, chemistry and engineering
  • Certified as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for human food
