As our Sr. Director of Business Development, you will contribute to the building of TRIANA’s ongoing success. As Sr. Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for creating and evaluating business opportunities that are aligned with our mission and support the continued growth of the company. This is an excellent job opportunity for a highly collaborative, driven individual looking for a leadership role in a fast-paced, biotech environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to identify and drive forward new partnerships, in support of overall long-range corporate strategy and financing needs.
  • Participate in the identification, evaluation, and potential transactions of external collaboration opportunities
  • Collaborate with R&D and other members of the corporate team to develop and deliver presentations around our platform and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical, clinical and financial assessment of new business opportunities.
  • Effectively present to pharma and biotechnology organizations the potential benefits of partnering or licensing with us.
  • Continuously monitor competitive landscape by keeping up to date on biotech and pharma transactions, competitors and market trends. Collaborate with Director of Corporate Development to provide competitive intelligence updates to      leadership and colleagues
  • Represent the company at partnering meetings and conferences as assigned.
  • Ensure that all relevant supporting documentation for transactions are of the highest quality and are prepared, reviewed and approved as appropriate.

Key Requirements: 

  • Scientific background is highly desirable.
  • 7+ years of business development, corporate development, or strategic pipeline experience within the biotechnology industry.
  • Sell side experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to forge relationships, build consensus, and drive towards strategic decisions.
  • Experience with identifying opportunities and, structuring, negotiating and closing transactions including strategic alliances, licensing agreements, joint ventures, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in financial analysis, corporate and product valuation as necessary to engineer deals.
  • Analytical and financial data modeling experience.

Base compensation: $237k-$250k
