PSG is assisting an exciting local company focused in the Biotech / Life sciences space to hire a Senior Accountant. This company has been rapidly growing over the past 4 years and has been nominated for Best Places to Work by the San Diego Business Journal. With solid leadership and mentorship from the Directors and Senior Managers, this collaborative environment sets itself apart! The person taking on this role will have exposure to a variety of areas to grow your experience - from the day-to-day accounting needs through to complex financial analyses and technical accounting matters. This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to transition from public accounting audit to industry, or someone that has worked for a Biotech / Life Sciences company and wants to work somewhere that has progression opportunity.


Senior Accountant Job Duties:

  • Assist with month end close - prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Financial statement prep - GAAP compliant
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Assist with process, procedure and automation initiatives including system implementations
  • Financial Analysis for management
  • Assist with audit prep


Senior Accountant Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, in Accounting or related field.
  • Public accounting or public company experience ideal but not required
  • ERP software experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Professionalism and ability to communicate well at any level
  • Proven record of meeting deadlines and job requirements
