Job Summary
The Biorepository Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and audit-ready inventories of biospecimens across all storage environments. This role focuses on performing inventory of client materials, executing scheduled cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies within the LIMS and account billing, in alignment with SOPs and GxP/GMP/GDP requirements.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Consistently adheres to all Kryosphere SOPs, administrative policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
· Safely and competently handles potentially infectious materials in compliance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
· Maintains client confidentiality at all times and demonstrates full adherence to HIPAA regulations.
· Performs additional responsibilities as outlined under Essential Job Functions.
· Executes scheduled cycle counts to ensure both inventory and billing accuracy.
· Retrieves, handles, and places client materials into designated storage locations using dry ice, liquid nitrogen, or other controlled temperature materials.
· Performs inventory of client materials with accuracy and without recurring QA corrections.
· Conducts cycle counts of client materials with accuracy and without recurring QA corrections.
· Completes all required documentation for assigned tasks and submits to Quality for review.
· Comfortable working in cold storage environments, including freezers, walk-ins, and liquid nitrogen areas.
· Able to safely lift and move items weighing over 50 lbs.
· Supports additional special projects as assigned.
