Job Description:

Parsonsislooking for an amazingly talentedSenior EnvironmentalProject Manager (QP)to join our team! In this role you will get towork closely with a variety of professionals onContaminated SitesandInfrastructure Projects.

Role will be hybrid with potential to work from home 2 days/week.

What You'll Be Doing:

The responsibilities for this position will include project managementof complex remediation projects,directinginvestigationsand remediationdesignsandreviewingreports forenvironmental site investigation (ESA), excess soil planning, and remediation projectsfor a variety of public and private sector clients. Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Provide technical leadership,project managementand technical support related toESA and Remediation projectsincluding investigations,remediationdesignandexcess soilplanning,investigationand management.

  • PhaseOneandTwoEnvironmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements;

  • Remedial design and site remediationoversight:including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge,pumpand treat, dual phase extraction,etc), sediment remediation, mine closures

  • Excesssoil andwastemanagement on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as perO.Reg. 406/19

  • Peer review of technical documents and reports;

  • Support business development activities including proposal preparationon major and minor pursuits;

  • Project Management, technicaldirectionandreviewon:

  • ESA and remediation related projects

  • Tracking andmaintainingbudgets and project finances;

  • Preparing Reports;

  • Maintain client relationships in various industries;

  • Liaise and support other engineeringdisciplines.

  • Primary point of contactwith clients, junior staff, and other project managers.

  • For the right candidate,(to be evaluated upon joining the team)tobepart of ourfunctionalmanagementteam tomentorand develop ourE&E professionals

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree

  • Currently a Qualified Person(i.e.licensedP.EngorP.Geo)as defined by Ontario Regulation 153/04, having 15 + years of consulting experience at an engineering firm with strong experience in the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within the Ontario jurisdiction.

  • Successful experience in managing large clients that may be developers, national industrialclientsand government agencies.

  • 5+ yearsmanaging contaminated sites projectswith consulting valuesover $500K.

  • Demonstrated experience with filing of Record of Site Conditionsincluding anunderstandingof the Tier 2 and 3 Risk Assessment processunderO.Reg. 153/04.

  • Experience working with diversemultidiscipline and/or internationalproject teams.

  • Aptitude to resolve differences in technical opinions with other senior environmental professionals

  • Track recordofdeliveringhigh qualitywork products

  • Strong project managementacumen to deliver projects within schedule and budgets.

  • Financially literate from a project management perspective

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • History of managing/mentoring teamswith a demonstrated history of staff retention and developing junior and intermediate careers

  • Knowledge and experience with Emerging Contaminants including PFAS and microplastics

  • Expertise withadditionalenvironmental issues (ie.sediment investigation/remediation, un-exploded ordinance, mine reclamation)

  • Business Development attributes, including networking andattractingnew clients to our team
