Job description


OBJECTIVE:
The Security Guard maintains a controlled facility/environment, under the supervision of the Security Manager. Inspecting and patrolling premises regularly. Responding to emergencies and ensuring that all protocols are followed.

Part-time weekends 8:00am-4:00pm and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • HS Diploma, or equivalent, 3 or more years of relevant Security Guard experience, knowledge of computer applications.
  • Must posses a valid drivers license to drive, insurance and motor vehicle report. Able rover between facility locations
  • Able sit, stand, lift and/or move up to 25lbs, daily uses of hands, fingers to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Able to work set schedule weekend and holidays


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patrol facilities, monitor, operate, and maintain any and all security surveillance equipment (i.e. closed circuit televisions, alarm system, etc.)
  • Inform the proper personnel/authorities in an emergency and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain a complete daily log and incident reports.
  • Check all visitors in and out, making sure employees have the proper I.D. and company badges when necessary.
  • Make sure any and all items belonging to BIOQUAL, Inc. have the proper authorization before being allowed to leave the premises.
  • Handle any unauthorized assembly or meeting on company property.
  • Monitor the switchboard overnight.
  • Consistently adhere to all safety procedures and standard operating procedures which are essential for successful operation of a facility involved with bio-hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
