OBJECTIVE:


The Maintenance Technician performs duties as assigned which contribute to the proper functioning and appearance of the facility. This job reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, and/or the Facilities and Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certificate in HVAC is required, building maintenance technology or relevant field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Able sit, stand, lift and/or move up to 50lbs+, daily uses of hands, fingers to handle objects, tools or controls.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance and repair services to include HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Install light bulbs, doors, bulletin boards, and cabinets.
• Paint interior and exterior walls; assemble furniture.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Keep equipment records of repairs and preventative maintenance performed.
• Keep all work areas and mechanical rooms clean, safe and well organized.
• Create and maintain a good parts and material inventory and accountability of tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
