NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Advance how our customers operate while you advance your career. Join GDIT as a Network Administrator and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Supports the stability, security, and efficient operation of Army enterprise network environments within the NETCOM Global Management Team (GMT).
  • Provides midlevel administration, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of critical network infrastructure that supports the Army Enterprise Network and JRSS environments.
  • Operating within a 24/7/365 mission environment, the Network Administrator assists with incident response, maintains boundary security devices, applies DoW/Army cybersecurity policies, and collaborates with mission partners such as Theater Signal Commands, DISA, RCCs, and NECs.
  • Contributes to managing routers, firewalls, load balancers, and related network services while supporting automation initiatives, documentation updates, and compliance with enterprise security requirements.


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your network expertise and drive for continuous improvement to GDIT. The Network Administrator must have:

Education
Bachelor of Science in related field (ex. Information Technology or Cybersecurity)

Experience
1+ years of related experience in network administration or support

Technical Skills
Experience supporting DoWIN Army or DoW networking environments preferred
Strong understanding of Layer 3 routing fundamentals (OSPF, BGP basics, VRRP/HSRP)
Experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar platforms
Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF processes, ACAS, and Army cybersecurity compliance
DoW8140 certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
Network certification such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent, preferred

Security Clearance
Active Top Secret/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI

Role Requirements
Ability to support global maintenance windows and afterhours operational needs

Ideal candidate brings solid technical knowledge, strong problemsolving abilities, and the ability to support missioncritical systems in a fastpaced operational setting

Ability to work onsite or hybrid based on mission requirements
Ability to operate effectively in a 24/7 missioncritical environment
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
