A Biometric Screening RN is a registered nurse who conducts health screenings to assess individuals’ risk for chronic conditions. They measure vital health indicators such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose levels, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI). Their role is to educate participants on their health metrics and provide guidance on maintaining or improving overall health. These screenings are typically performed at corporate wellness events, healthcare facilities, or community health programs.
To thrive as a Biometric Screening RN, you need an active RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience with health screenings. Familiarity with biometric equipment, electronic health record systems, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations is often required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to educate and motivate individuals about their health make candidates stand out. These skills ensure accurate screenings, patient confidentiality, and a positive experience for participants in corporate or community health settings.
A typical day for a Biometric Screening RN involves setting up and conducting health screenings, such as blood pressure checks, BMI measurements, and cholesterol testing, either at client sites or special events. You’ll be responsible for accurately recording biometric data, educating participants about their results, and occasionally providing referrals for follow-up care. Collaboration with other nurses, wellness coordinators, and administrative staff is common to ensure smooth event logistics. Flexibility and strong time management are important, as schedules can range from regular hours to early morning events or multiple client locations in a week.
LifeHealth LLC (LifeHealth), a professional services company specializing in worksite wellness services, clinical staffing, and healthcare readiness is looking for qualified Biometric Health Screening professionals to provide exceptional service at LifeHealth community and client sites across the US.
Position Summary:
LifeHealth Biometric Health Screeners are responsible for conducting accurate health assessments at wellness screening events, typically in a corporate office setting. Services include biometric screenings and health assessments via point of care specimen collection and processing procedures. Staff are responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of wellness events at the event site while providing excellent customer service to participants and clients. This position is seasonal PRN as needed, not full or part time.
